Lleju boards 'Stars'

LLeju Prods. originates aboard to invest in and co-produce the drama ''Stars'' alongside Storyland Pictures' Derrick Borte and Scott Lochmus. Lleju topper William Perkins made the announcement Monday.Borte will even direct ''Stars'' from the script by Jim Janosky. The script, that was around the 2005 Black List, follows a guy who establishes his birthday to commit suicide but his disregard for existence requires a turn when he meets a mysterious stranger who challenges his decision to die. Production is scheduled to begin the following month.Tim Hurwitz of Schreck Rose Dapello Adams and Hurwitz, LLP symbolized both sides in settling the offer.LLeju lately wrapped ''The Baytown Disco'' starring Billy Bob Thornton and Avoi Longoria.
