HanWay to repetition 'Odyssey'

Mark Cousins directed the docu, "The Storyline of Film: An Journey."LONDON -- HanWay Films has clicked up worldwide sales privileges to Mark Cousins' "The Storyline of Film: An Journey," that is screening only at that year's Toronto Film Festival. The Brit docu, created by Hopscotch Films, is helmed and composed by Cousins, and is dependant on his tome that informs a brief history of cinema in the quiet towards the digital age.The 15-part docu, that was six years within the making, is shot on six continents covering 12 decades along with a 1000 photos. It features interviews with filmmakers for example Wim Wenders, Gus Van Sant, Lars Von Trier, Bernardo Bertolucci and Jane Campion. Producer John Archer of Hopscotch discussed the offer with HanWay's controlling director Thorsten Schumacher, and director of sales and distribution Fabien Westerhoff. HanWay is going to be shopping the pic to purchasers in Toronto, as the fest is screening the docu for 3 hrs each day from Sept. 12-16. It started airing in Blighty on Funnel 4's docu strand More 4 like a 15-part series on Sept. 3. HanWay world preemed three prime choices in Venice -- Steve McQueen's "Shame," Andrea Arnold's "Wuthering Levels" and David Cronenberg's "A Harmful Method."The sales repetition will probably be busy trying to find U.S. distribution for "Shame" and "Wuthering Levels," which haven't yet snap up domestic purchasers.
